Motorcyclists are addressing the perception in CO

Currently, there is a boycott against one of Clear Channel's radio stations, known as Alice 105.9 in Denver.

Link to boycott and web page

Allegedly, one or more dj(s) shared their personality 'on air' how they felt about a recent moment with some motorcycles. The dj(s) singled-out sport bikes and has stirred up the channel 9 News. 9 News did an interview on Friday with one of the ex-Alice listener's, which rides motorcycles.  Alice 105.9 denied 9 News request of the morning shows audio tapes to verify the conversations that might have confirmed a general mentality of the dj(s), advocating serious injury or death.

One website hosting the conversations is: cosportbikeclub.org (There might be some 'less than proper' verbage used in some of the threads.)

Let me add, the 'CSC' does advocate rider/driver awareness, but the words of the dj(s) are taken seriously.  Here's a few examples of what the CSC has advocated. One, Two, & Three

I want to hear your perspective and any constructive criticism.

The whole effort looks very professionally done, and I'm glad to see you taking action at the local level.

One question - is Alice radio in any way associated with the company Alice who sponsors Casey Stoner's MotoGP bike? If so, they sure might be interested to hear about it.

Okay, I answered my own question, and made a discovery.

You might want to check on Clear Channel's ownership of that station. The station in question does not appear on Clear Channel's web site as one of their listed properties. I'm not saying it isn't, but you definitely should be certain of this before mentioning Clear Channel by name. Deep pockets like Clear Channel's make for ugly lawsuits, particularly when directed against tiny little motorcycle clubs.

The radio station site shows ownership by Entercom, LLC. A trip to Entercom's site shows that they own four stations. You might look at boycotting those advertisers, too.

    You're correct!  Thank you!

Unfortunately, I was unable to find the 'edit thread' option after hearing of the latest update(s). The Alice station is owned by Entercom LLC.

I have changed this thread to "resolved".  The latest update on the Alice situation
